Launched on July 15, 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Skill India campaign is aimed to train up to 400 million Indian citizens in varied skills by the year 2022. It consists of several government initiatives, including National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015, National Skill Development Mission, Skill Loan Scheme, and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).
Skill India is conceptualized to deliver a collaboration platform to promote all the stakeholders to connect with one another freely.
