Apparel Made-Ups and Home Furnishings Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC)

With the presence of large number of training centers, contributed by both private and public entities, considering the quality of training in various training centers is important for the success of skill assessment and skill development programme. AMHSSC has been introduced with the mandate to build and enhance the capacity of skill development. One of the major features of this initiative is designing training programmes according to industry demands of various segments and to ensure all the trainees are certified with assessment agency which is accredited.

AMH SSC has been NSDC authorized for assessing the proficiencies of skills of trainees for made-ups, apparel sector and home furnishing for their subject matters. The assessment is considered to be the structural process where evidence of performance is evaluated and gathered against NOS/QPs which are approved by NSDC. Assessment is the process which involves collecting evidence of the competence level of person with widest range of observations, methods-tests, professional discussion and assignments. AMH SSC is an authorized body with well defined structure having members from apparel, knitwear, fashion design, hosiery, home furnishing/made-ups, academia, association, domestic apparel etc. along with representatives.

AMH SSC Objectives

The objective of certification and assessment under Sector Skill Council is certifying the competency. Here are the main objectives of assessment of certification and testing –

  • Credible certification and effective assessment testing of informally/formally acquired skills of target individuals in Five Year Plan
  • Certification to be accredited by the international and national governments, trade organizations and private industries
  • Setting up uniformity in assessment of certification and testing process in made-ups, clothing, and home furnishing sector to improve identical skill set delivery
  • Publicize outcome information and rating on assessment of institutions and trainees.

Centre for samagra samajik naitik vikas sansthan is established as a state level non-governmental organization by a group of devoted researchers, social workers and professionals with a noble mission to promote multi-faceted rural development. The organization is registered under Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act, 1973 as the Association of Grass root development Research and Action in the year 2004 witch ragd. No. J. J.7303 Dt.11/02/2004.

Majority of the Indian population resides in the villages which needs continuous efforts for socio-economic development to have self sustaining development in the rural areas. A change in terms of technology, employment patterns, skills, health education, and positive environment towards it is the need of the hour.

In order to achieve these avowed challenges and responsibilities SSNVS has come into existence. Since its inception, the organization is functioning in the direction of socioeconomic development for rural areas in the field of rural development, Agriculture, Science and Technology, Environment, Health, Skill Development, woman empowerment and Capacity building.
